Gangster Love Story, released in early 2006, was popular both with the classes and the masses. The movie is about a love triangle, in which the two men are on the opposite sides of law and the woman caught in between. The film has been directed by Anurag Basu and the main cast comprises of Emraan Hashmi, Shiny Ahuja and Kangna Ranaut. Another plus for Gangster Love Story is that, the film has some beautiful songs which had become a rage even before the release of the movie.

My Dear Valentine is giving a brief synopsis of Gangster Love Story for your benefit. While Emraan Hashmi and Shiny Ahuja are a couple of films old, Kangna Ranaut is a debutante. Emraan (Akash) plays the role of a police officer who was out to nab dreaded don Shiny Ahuja (Daya).

But, in the middle of his chase, he meets a young alcoholic woman played by Kangna (Simran) and falls in love with her. But Simran has many skeletons in her cupboard. Gradually, the past life of Simran is revealed.

She and Daya had an affair and she had also mothered an adopted child. Unfortunately, the child was caught in between an encounter and was killed. Daya fled to Mauritius and Simran was left to fend for herself and took refuge in the bottle.

The end of Gangster Love Story is pathetic. Simran comes to love Akash but just when it seems that their love can have a happy ending, Dayas burst into the scene. Torn between her love for the two men, Simran is unable to make a choice and kills herself. Good script, racy plot, great music make Gangster Love Story eminently watchable.
